During the packraft trip, you will go on an adventure on and around Salza River’ from Monday to Friday. We will take beautiful mountain tours, visit the waterfalls ‘Wasserlockklamm’ and, of course, raft on the most beautiful parts of the Salza River. We will also camp next to the river, with enchanting views, around a campfire.

The surroundings are stunning and impressive: high mountains and overwhelming nature. This river starts quietly and ends with increasingly exciting rapids. The gradation of the river is WW I - III. If you have no experience with (whitewater) rafting, this is the river to do it. Even for those with experience, there is plenty of challenge. With the packraft, this is great to do! Day 1
The arrival day, this falls on Sunday. You are welcome at the campsite from 15:00 in the afternoon. You will have plenty of time to put up your tent and get everything ready. If you have booked a tent, it will be ready for you on arrival.
At 18:00 we will organise a short introduction by the campfire. Here you can meet the guides and other participants. We will give an overview of the planning for the coming days and answer any questions.
After the introduction, there will be time to share stories and get to know each other better. If you chose the Adventure Foodpack, you will enjoy a delicious pizza evening right here.
Day 2
The day starts with a briefing and handing out the packrafts, then a short packraft explanation on river Salza. The guides will explain the basics of rafting and everything you need for your adventure. After this explanation, your adventure really begins. You start this morning by an attractive trip through a lonely narrow gorge, this gorge is called the Klausgraben.
End of the Gorge you come out at a Reservoir here unfortunately you are not allowed to continue and you go ashore, from here you pack up your boat and continue on foot with a beautiful hiking trip through nature.
- Rafting: 10 km.
- Hiking: 8 km.
Day 3
You wake up to the sound of the river's current, fresh breakfast is already waiting for you should you have opted for the Adventure Foodpack. We take our gear and set off towards the reservoir where we start paddling this morning. We continue down the river on the other side of the Weir. At the beginning of the paddling route, on the left you will see the klafferquellen, karst springs running into the river, a magnificent natural spectacle.
Arriving at the location where we will exit the water. Start the hiking trail with fantastic vantage points on the Mittenberg. A great location to take a break and enjoy nature.
Rafting: 13 km.
Hiking: 6 km.
Day 4
The trip today starts from the campsite itself, from this location the river gets a bit more exciting, more challenges along the way, but a lovely route to enjoy.
When we return to land, this time we will continue by car to a location where we will explore a highlight of sights on the Salza River. The Wasserlochklamm.
A narrow gorge, five waterfalls and a water cave: a stunning & exciting hiking trail. Bring your camera for stunning photos of this natural phenomenon.
After the trip, you can relax on the terrace on the Salza River where the exit is from this spectacle. Here you can have a drink and a snack.

- Hiking: 4 km.
Day 5
After a hearty breakfast and a good warm-up, we set off from the campsite towards Palfau.
One more adventurous day in the wilderness! You greet the Salza for the last time. The great thing about the Salza River is that the river is edifying, and you know the water well by now. Let's go, we're going to enjoy packrafting again today.
Out of the water, we drain the packraft and stow everything in the bag. This afternoon, we head to a wonderful park: Gams is idyllically located in the Styrian Eisenwurzen Nature and Geopark between the foothills of the Hochschwab and Gesäuse National Park in a forested basin. In this park we will hike a beautiful hiking trail and enjoy the Nature.

- Hiking: You can determine your own routes in the park.
Day 6
You wake up in your lovely sleeping bag, in your tent in the middle of nature, reminiscing about last week's adventure. Over breakfast is a great time to reminisce about last week, then it's time to pack everything up and hand in the packrafts with accessories.
We say goodbye to each other, and who knows, we might see each other in the future for new adventures.
